History of RDR

Rochester Deaf Rotary (RDR) is the first Deaf Rotary club in the world to be run by the deaf for the deaf.  RDR was formally chartered and announced by Rotary International at its 100th anniversary during its Family Fun Day in Canandaigua, New York on August 14, 2004.

This unique RDR’s Rotary Visual Bell comes equipped with strobe light when the bell is rung for our Deaf club members to see! Created by DG 06-07 Jim Holden and built by Rotarian Bob Blanck.
